Baaghi-3

Tiger Shroff’s action-entertainer ‘Baaghi 3’ is off to a flying start at the domestic box office. The Ahmed Khan directorial has recorded the highest Day 1 collection of 2020, beating the likes of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. Baaghi 3 Movie Review : Tiger’s lethal blows let down by weak writing.

The double-digit start is exceptional for the film, considering the looming Coronavirus threat that prompted many in Metro cities to stay home than venture out to public places. Although the film suffered at multiplexes in big cities, it performed very well in places like CP Berar, Bihar and Odisha.
Despite the good start, the collections are not as much as the last Baaghi film that reportedly earned an estimated Rs 25 crore nett on its opening day, which also happened to be on the Good Friday holiday.

Total collections

Reports also stated that ‘Baaghi 3’ opened pretty well with occupancy of around 30-35%. The film has managed to register an advance booking of Rs 5.50 crore, which is the best any film has witnessed in 2020. The collections of ‘Baaghi 3’ has surpassed the numbers of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ which had minted around Rs 5.18 crore in advance ticket sales domestic circuit.

With the total collections in, ‘Baaghi 3’ has registered an impressive lead over the Rs 13 crore net earned by Ajay’s period drama that released on January 10.
It has also become the third highest opening day collection for Tiger, after ‘War’ and ‘Baaghi 2’.
Going by these reports, it appears that neither the coronavirus scare nor the film’s leak on piracy websites has dithered the collections.
Talking about the film, it is about the story of two brother- Tiger and Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish plays the character of a timid police officer. When he gets kidnapped in Syria, the ‘Student of the Year 2’ actor comes to his rescue. The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles.

Baaghi 3‘ promises an action extravaganza with three renowned action directors choreographing the stunt sequences. Ramu Chella, Lakshman Chella and Kecha Khampadkee have called the shots for the high octane drama for ‘Baaghi 3’. Apart from the stunts, ‘Baaghi 3’ also features some foot-tapping music. Shraddha and Tiger have recreated ‘Dus Bahane’ while Disha Patani shook a leg on ‘Do You Love Me’. ‘Baaghi 3’ also marks Tiger’s first film with his father Jackie Shroff.
Post ‘Baaghi 3’, Tiger will be seen next in ‘Heropanti 2’ which he announced recently. He is collaborating with Ahmed Khan once for the same.
